After just about every media outlet and critic had written off Pete Doherty, he came back and dropped his first ever solo album on us. I can't express my happiness enough in that he was able to shake his bad habits and come back into the music. Or atleast get things under control and manageable to a point where it wont affect his music. The man is fucking brilliant and now that he's straightening things out a bit, I'm sure everyone will be singing a different tune. In addition to his CD debut- he was awarded the best solo artist award at the NME Shockwave back on Feb. 25
Don't expect a US tour anytime soon. Pete's still not allowed in the country. He is however doing a nation tour of England right now so if you're lucky enough to cross the pond in the next month, check him out.

Rolling Stone actually gave it a decent review. 3 stars I think. I heard it's somewhat mellow but I haven't heard it yet. hmmm.
